Ana María Santos
Ana Maria Santos is a bacteriologist who graduated from Universidad de Los Andes, a specialist in epidemiology, and a doctorate in biological sciences from Universidad de Los Andes. Dr. Santos is an associate professor of Universidad de La Sabana in the medicine faculty in the immunology modules for pregraduate, master, and doctorate students. She belongs to the investigation group GESPA classified as A category by Minciencias, an entity that has catalogued her as a Senior Investigator.
Dr. Santos has centered her studies on spondyloarthritis in the Colombian population with immunological markers and its association. She is the author of many published papers in index journals national and international.
Nowadays, Dr. Santos works on establishing the relationship between the different blood inflammatory markers and rheumatic, pneumonic, or infectious diseases in our population and their prognostic role.
She is an adherent member of the Asociación Colombiana de Reumatologia.
